If you are using the internet on your phone that means your phone is connected to the virtual world. There are also lots of people who can use many ways to get access to your phone. So you should know how to keep your data safe when your phone is online. In this blog basically, I'll discuss Android phones. Because it's very easy to install third-party applications, mods, and unofficial software on android devices. It can be very harmful to you.
You can know if your phone is hacked by checking the following steps -
- If your phone is often heating even you don't use your phone the be careful someone is already in your system and stealing your data in the background that's why your phone is over heating.
- Draining of battery. If your battery is draining too fast while using the internet then your phone might be hacked.
- Internet (mobile data) is used so fast. If you are facing such problems then it may be something is downloading background or someone is stealing your private data via the internet. So it could be harmful.
- If suddenly you see a pop-up on-screen and it asking for any kind of sensitive permission like allowing the camera, location then is sure that you haven't installed any third party applications or serving and malicious website in the background.
- If your phone is ringing or vibrating without any reason then your phone might be hacked.
So these all could be occur on the phone if it has been hacked.
Now the important thing is how to prevent this and how you can safely use the internet on your phone? Can you secure your privacy over the internet? Well, the answer is yes. You have to notice some major points and you have to follow some basic steps to secure your Android device. The following steps that you should follow are -
- Never use any third-party applications or mods or unofficial software etc. Make sure your phone's security and Google PlayStore Security are always on. I always prefer you to download apps from Google Play Store.
- If you face any problem as mentioned in the above list then Go to the settings of your phone and go to all apps or app management and check if there is any unknown app like (my activity, XYZ, etc.)
- Always allow only necessary permissions to the app that you daily use. For any sensitive permissions like camera, file manager, install unknown apps, etc.. always think before giving permissions.
- Always use at least one antivirus apps like Malwarebytes, Avast, etc.
- Don't open unsecured links that your friends or unknown people send on social media.
- Only use the internet when you are using your phone. Do not turn on the internet or wifi when you aren't using the phone.
- Never connect your phone to unknown wifi. Heckers can make fake wifi servers to get access to your phone. Once you are connected to their wifi your file manager access will go to them also so be careful.
